Apparently, in Canada at least, the R888's are now the only track tire that Toyo will be offering. They are not importing any more RA1's and inventories have run out.
has anyone else heard this or can confirm if its in the USA as well? I am aware of the short-term R888 allowance, in lieu of the supply disruptions in the USA on the RA1's, however i thought it was temporary, not permanent?
Thanks.

spec tire for 2012 should be set soon (and it might not be a Toyo).

I talked to a tire dealer in Canada and the RA1 was discontinued there in 2009.

From all accounts the Hoosier SM tires would be a good alternative, along with Nitto's and maybe some others. Has anyone learned anything factual about the SCCA's tire choice for 2011-12?I talked to a tire dealer in Canada and the RA1 was discontinued there in 2009.
