I couldn't figure out what this meant.
why were they DQ'd?

9.1.8.p.1. The ECU and engine electrical harness must be as supplied
by Mazda. No modifications are permitted. The ECU
maps and inputs must not be modified. Chips may not be
replaced. The OBDII diagnostic port must be operational in
all 1996-2005 cars.

Need to replace drivers side rail.
passenger will be straightned. then everything in the nose and all sheet metal up front also need to be replaced.
there was no rust any where on this car, as rust free as any car could be yet when the drivers side rail bent it exposed a frame rail rusted on the inside. seems very week to me. other rail is perfect as far as rust is concerned. I did a little internet research and found many people complaining of that rail rusting out on cars that were only a few years old and garage kept.not sure why but need to look at doners very closely there.almost impossible to see since it is inside the rail.

anyway parts are ordered. should be better then it was before.
