I am getting an AIM Pista with a Smartycam for video and GPS. With this combination do I need to install the wheel speed sensors? or will that data just get ignored because of the GPS. I will also be monitoring throttle position, brake pressure, oil pressure and coolant temp.

My other question is around what data needs to be tapped into from the car. I believe that the only thing I need is power and the tach signal. Is there any other info that I can get from a 99? I know the AIM doesn't talk to the ECU until the NC's.

You don't need to install the wheel speed sensors.

You can tap into the stock TPS signal as well as the power and tach.

Thanks Duncan. I didn't even think about taping the stock TPS signal.
