I just got a fire system and didnt know if it was better to have it on the left side on the floor of the passenger side or right.

From a wt perspective, as close to the middle and as low as possible.

I was kind-of wondering the same thing, but I was debating the pass-floor or trunk location. For best handling is it better to have the CG low but forward the of the centerline or a little higher but centered?

I think lower is more important than center. FWIW,in my BMW we had to decide where to put ballast--in the back seat which was center buy a foot higher than in the spare well which was low, but several feet from the center. My engineer took the lower option.

Mine is mounted on the passenger side tunnel above the passenger floor. Main reason: the fuel and brake lines run under the passenger floor on the right. Makes it hard to drill mounting holes. I also placed the fire bottle as far forward as possible and can still install the passenger race seat if needed.
