Where is everyone? I only see 2 SM entries. Taking the green- super low horsepower machine -out in ITA to see if the the 110k mile motor can take 6 hours.

Back in 2001ish , we ran an untouched motor with 186,000 miles for all 6 hrs ... It didn't even use a 1/2 quart of oil

Great time at the Revenge of the Turkey. Thanks you SCCA for bring this enduro back. The enduro was a blast and learned some important points about Hoosiers. Gales' car was very fast in ITS mode and he did a great job prepairing it for a reliable event, if only we managed the tires better.

Sprint race on Sunday was also fun. Tight and clean racing with Steve and Kent.

It's too bad this didn't apply across the field for what is essentially a race that means little except to have fun.

Good job on your enduro run. I wish our car could have made it. The ARRC Enduro then this just proved too much for the car.

That's the truth. The contact was cosmetic and I could have continued, but I thought the "hell with that", don't need to get whacked again on a re-pass. So I came in and had a beer. :guinness:

I want to thank JP3 for a solid car and superb support and my teammates Willie T. Keeling and Jeff Holbrook for a well-driven race. Almost everyone chipped in and helped each other out to make good pit stops and keep the cars up front all day!

One thing we learned is that Hoosiers aren't good endurance tires! Perhaps we should try heat cycling them more.....

Also, we owe a hand to the Timing and Scoring folks and James Rogerson for keeping everything pretty straight despite the crappy timing loops at TWS. They manually timed pretty much the whole race.

I want to thank Hollywood Holloway for racing me hard and clean in the regional on Sunday. That was fun! Good clean racing with Charles Mathes, as well!

Agreed on all points. Very happy to see the enduro back. Not happy that the alternator bracket bolt came out about 4 hours in and one of the team drivers forgot to check the gauges from time to time. Oh well. Sorry to see Bill's car in the ditch- hub failure?

Hopefully we can get this back on the schedule routinely and get the car count up a bit.

Sadly, the rumors of the demise of the track are swirling about again. It's apparently for sale again.

Another group was circulating an offering agreement 6-12 months ago. I'll just say that I was not tempted to invest.

This offering ( HHF ) is listed with long time SW Division Spec Racer Ford driver , Hal Holliday.

Should be a great investment opportunity ( for the financially strong ) to land bank ( operate the track ) for a few years until the economy turns around , then wholesale it to an end use developer.
