Season Opener – MSR Houston January 28th & 29th, 2012

HPDE/TT Pricing
1 day - $199/$169 (Sat or Sun)
2 day - $299
Transponder - $50/weekend

HPDE GENERAL NOTICE-
If you do not see the HPDE Group that you want, it means that it's full. Please Click Here to get on the waiting list.

HPDE 1:
HPDE1 is where it all starts. If you’ve never been on track before or would like to be guaranteed an instructor, sign up for HPDE1. We do not rent transponders for HPDE1.

HPDE 2:
HPDE 2 is for drivers that have been signed off to drive on their own, but just want more time at HPDE 1 speeds and skill level. So, Group 2 is Group 1 (and runs with Group 1), but they have no instructor assignment. We do not rent transponders for HPDE2. Please see this notice before signing up HPDE2 Notes

HPDE 3:
Saturday will slowly work up to additional passing by the end of the day. Sunday will be a continuation, starting with limited passing everywhere in the first session and then very quickly picking up the pace in the subsequent sessions. This should better prepare drivers for Group 4. Sunday only entries should be aware of this. Please see this notice before signing up HPDE3 Notes

HPDE 4:
Only advanced drivers with open passing skills are permitted in HPDE4. All HPDE4 drivers who are new to NASA must be pre-approved by the HPDE4 Group Leader or Chief Instructor before being allowed to drive in HPDE4.

Time Trials:
TT is combined with HPDE4 and has open passing. You must possess a NASA TT license to be in this class. If you need to apply for a license, do it now.

Smak talk anyone?

I know Ferranti was very fast a few weeks ago when he came out for a charity race. I think BFC is doing a shakedown on his car before the SCCA season gets started, but will he go for the win? Udell has more laps than most at this track and he was kicking all comers asses at the MSR Spec Miata Challenge Series. Gabriell is looking to defend his NASA Texas title. Haldeman should have the car back together mechanically, just not as pretty (for now). Brian W has a full season under his belt and will be looking to crack the top 5. My ride has a new paint job so I will be looking to ride around and enjoy the race without any contact.

Taylor was very fast at NASA nationals in his new ride. I think he will surprise a lot of folks if he can score some good tires for the race!

Do you want your NA 1.8 back? It seems like a lot of people are building the NA 1.8.
