I wanted to Congratulate Tom Fowler for receiving the "SEDiv True Sportsman Award"

.. The award is presented to the SCCA member who consistently demonstrates exceptional driving skill ( even with gum on his glove),integrity in all aspects of the sport, respect for SCCA and the rules of the organization, who represents truth and fairness in all areas of competition, who inspires camaraderie among drivers, and who has consistently shown a genuine willingness to help other drivers acquire knowledge and to achieve optimum driving performance.

Way to go Tom......you have always been there when I needed your help and I cannot think of anyone that would be more deserving....

I also would like to congratulate Danny Steyn for receiving the SEDiv Driver of the Year. He was really surprised and was a gracious recipient.....

I was convention Chairman and part of my job is too make sure award winners attend. So, I got Danny to make sure Tom attended and Tom to make sure Danny attended. In other words, I set them both up! Just loved that look when each came to accept their awards.

Both made excellent acceptance speeches and got a great round of applause from the 250 people there.

A slight correction. Danny was awarded SEDiv Driver of the Year for his Championship in the National series and his championship in the Endurance race series(ECR). Quite a feat since the races never occur on the same weekend.

We will have a link on www.sedivracing.org for acceptance photos. SCCA CEO Jeff Dahnert presented both awards at last nights banquet at the Oceanside Inn & Suites on Jekyll Island.

PS Hotshoe, my buddy Ricky Thompson, was also presented awards for winning the 2011 SARRC Championship in ITR and for finishing 2nd in SM also in the SARRC Championship.

Congrats to you too Ricky!!!

When he walked up to collect his jacket, Jim Creighton joked that Ricky had to build another closet just to hang his collection of jackets. Another smart alec at Ricky's table shouted..... "and we're wondering when he's gonna come out of the closet!" .... too funny!!!!! :D

PS - missed you Andrew - not the same without you causing havoc. Think Creighton missed you too!!!!

I just can not get over the fact that Fowler won an award for integrity. Must be something he learned from Tracy !!!!

Tom and Danny are both class acts who deserve these awards.

ok I will get on the kiss ass award train graet job tom fowler

danny you suck ooops did i say that
Satire is primarily a literary genre or form, although in practice it can also be found in the graphic and performing arts. In satire, vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, and society itself, into improvement.[1] Although satire is usually meant to be funny, its greater purpose is often constructive social criticism, using wit as a weapon.
