It was announced today at the convention that in 2012 we will have a shortened Runoffs schedule. It looks like Monday will be a test day either track or combined with SCCA. Tuesday will be at least the first half of the day practice. Qualifying and races will be Wednesday-Sunday. SM race will likely be Saturday before lunch.
What do you think? Hopefully more will join now. You can get away with two qualifying's imo, use one to sort the car and the second one, well you better nail it

It has me thinking. I've never considered the Runoff's in the past at least in part because of the time committment. This may be the year to go. Good decision by SCCA.

This is a good change if each class is only on track 3-4 consecutive days.

I'm looking at tentative Schedule. The SM numbers are helping us here. Looks like SM will have one of the best schedules.. Qualifying Wednesday 1:55 Thursday at 3:40, Friday 8:00, Race Saturday right before lunch.
If all works well with weather, Wednesday and Thursday won't matter, qualifying grid will be set on Friday.

It looks like SCCA has finally admitted that they can't get the Runoffs back on TV and are unwilling to do the work it takes to line up sponsors to pay for a TV deal as good as it was in the past. Shame.
