I was looking to replace my angled SP Induction intake with a Republic straight intake. It appears that they are no lomger making them, as Saferacer and others have been unable to obtain them. What intake for the 1.6 do most people feel has the best performance?

Thanks,

Dave

A straight SP Induction. I wrap mine with thermal insulation. Don't know if it helps, but can't hurt.

The curved spin duction intake has shown to be the best on my dyno. If you really want a Sutton intake, send me an email. I probably have one that I took off a car.

Dave,

Thanks for the offer. It seems that most of the 1.6 cars here in the Southeast seem to be running the straight intake, so my thinking was that there must be a reason. I do hate to spend the $$ only to find little or no difference. Maybe I will borrow one and do a side by side dyno test before I invest in one.
