alternators do really strange things on the 99's... change it as well if nothing else works

Ok, it went from bad to worse. Changed injectors and fuel pump. Now it has a high speed surge. Bump, bump, bump..... WTF? My guess is the new FP is bad. Any suggestions?

'Lean' can be a severe misfire, too. Look at:
Crank trigger (watch timing for instability as you rev)
Coil pack?
What do the plugs look like?
Perhaps even the TPS....

The surge was the diesel storm FPR with the screw all the way out. The spring wasn't compressed so it would just bounce. 50 lbs, 70lbs 50,70. Up and down 2-3 times per second. My fault not the regulators, it didn't know what to do.

Worked on car till midnight, still don't have it all uber smooth like i want. Lean is gone. Not sure what fixed it but it was nice and fat at 54 lbs FP. Car is ready to head out and spend some break in time on Friday. Dynoed Ok, nothing special. Solid 10th place car.

I hope not.. I just walked in the door. :( A race car is never done.. just ready enough for the next race. It doesnt matter anyway, it's going to rain all weekend :(

Glad you got everything done in time. Sorry to hear that the car doesn't make the kind of power you were hoping for... well, kinda sorry, not too much. :)
