Although they are working to at least make the afternoon available for testing, at this time Road Atlanta is not able to offer any test sessions on Thursday (3/17). We'll update the Atlanta Region website if that changes, but you can also contact Road Atlanta directly.
And just so you know we DO listen on occasion ( ), we switched groups 2 & 3 as suggested above.
See y'all at the track...

as you know I am a big fan of the Atlanta Region and the races it hosts. I do most of my racing there. However, for this event, IMHO opinion the entry fees for the ECR/ProIT are really out of touch.
I have no problem with the race fees for the National
But combining the two races (Pro-IT and ECR) into one race and then asking us to pay $250 for each race means that we paying $500 to enter both and in fact ware only getting the 1-1/2 hour enduro time - we normally would be getting another 40 minute session for the other $250. Really missing a lot of track time but still paying for it. Seems that there should be a STEEP discount to do both. Just my $0.02c
Curious what others think on this

ECR only is $375
Pro-IT only is $275
Either one gets you a 30-minute session on Friday and a 20-minute session on Saturday. The ECR race is 90 minutes (for a total of 140 minutes offered) while the Pro-IT is 45 minutes (total of 95 minutes), so I think the entry fees are roughly proportional to the track time offered.
Entry fee if you want to run both is $550 (a "discount" of $100), which is the ECR fee + the prize money portion of the Pro-IT fee (50% or $137.50) + a nominal amount ($37.50) to cover sanction fees (you can get credit for two races since they're separate sanction numbers), worker fees to National, etc.
What am I missing?
= = = = = =
Looking at it further (assuming 40 minutes for the SM National races):
Single Nat = 75 minutes track time @ $295 = $3.93 / minute offered
Double Nat = 150 minutes track time @ $525 = $3.50 / minute
ECR only = 140 minutes track time @ $375 = $2.67 / minute
Pro-IT only = 95 minutes track time @ $275 = $2.89 / minute
ECR/Pro-IT = 140 minutes track time @ $550 = $3.92 / minute
BUT if you run any combination with the Pro-IT you're also eligible for prize money which further reduces the cost per minute. The bargain if you're looking at track time / dollar would be to run the Pro-IT only (and hope to do well), but running in combination spreads out your fixed costs.
BTW, you did see that you get a $75 discount on the ECR if you run it in any combination with the National(s), correct?
Bottom line, I think we're pretty fairly priced but I'm open to discussion if you think I'm missing something...

I would liek to come over and hang out and I can provide some trackside assistance if anyone can use it.
Does anyone have any crew spots that they can list me under?
Thanks,
