I will be making the trip out from Michigan. I'm excited, this will be my first race at the Glen. Anybody planning on doing the test day, who might let me follow them around for a few laps?

I'm not doing the test day, but there are some videos on YouTube. Some are mine...so so laps. There's a short course one where I'm racing another guy from Michigan...let's just say it doesn't end too well for me. :(

You're gonna love The Glen. I'm supposed to be in garage 11a. Stop by and say hi.

Another 'Not So Fun One....'

I have not seen such bad driving in years.

Missing FIVE (5!) Flag Stations displaying the RED flag. I was waiving my arms all over trying to get anyone's attention. I tried to slow after the THIRD Flag Station displaying the RED and all I got was HIT(!) for doing so. "thought your car broke" was what I was told by the offending driver.
It was NOT just him behaving badly. There were a lot of very 'tunnel attention' drivers out there. We got a full re-grid to restart the complete race over. Once started, we had a full course yellow. At the THIRD Flag Station displaying FCY I get passed by two cars as I am again waiving my arms wildly. WTF? Do we have that many completely 'blind to the flags' guys out there? If so, that is a really scary thing.
On Sunday (Short Course) three of us are going to split a Miata backmarker on the NASCAR straight. Two go left with a ton of room and I go right with a lots of space there too. You guessed it....as I pass and my left rear wheel is ready at his right front, he turn right into me! In fifth at 115mph. Not a Fun One.
A few laps later I spun in T5 (can't do 10.5ths in the remaining kitty litter) and impacted hard backwards. Lightning McQeen will be laid up of months. Thanks to all who helped and were concerned. Pretty sore this morning. But we will be back.....hopefully around drivers who look up and see the flags.

Sorry to hear that Ed, hope you feel better soon.

Methinks I know what you will be focusing on in the upcoming Glen Driver's School...

Ed, I have video from behind you (at a distance) of both your incidents. Let me know if you're interested. That oil/speedy dry was rough.
