"99 cruise control removal

I saw that the SCCA rules allow for removal of the entire cruise control system. mine is still in the car, and i want to remove it.
it looks straight forward enough to remove everything.

I see that there is a black line coming from the firewall side of the intake manifold going to my CC unit.
other than removing this, do i need to do anything like plug up that hole that will be left after the line is removed.
I looked in my manual, but dont see the info i need.
also, what does this line do?

That is the vacuum source for the actuator. Yes, plug the hole.
