Just curious as to how the RR's were assuming that was the tire for the weekend? I think NASA was giving a 2 race grace period for RA-1's before mandating the RR's....and how was the SM car count? Nice video.

Nice Drive Kyle, again.

Bill-  We all are running the RR's.  We are 1-2 seconds faster than the RA's for most drivers.  The front runners are seeing about 1 second a lap those farther back in the grid are seing even more.    The count was in the mid 20's this weekend.  Great turn out, lots of fun.

Great weekend Kyle! Though I'm sure you would have liked to make that last pass at speed a win is a win! I'm sure Darin was the first to shake your hand.

For those not from the region who wonder what happened on the restart...because of the mixed class of E30's and SM, the pace car picked up the leader of the E30's. The leader of SM at the time hung back so there was a gap to race in for the last few minutes. The pace car had its lights on as it led the first group down the back straight and around turn 11 and back toward the start/finish line(most expected another caution lap)then it turned into the infield and turned its lights off at the last minute. The spotter for the red P1 SM car had looked away thinking another lap of caution. The camera car had no radio but could see the starter stand from across the track and went on the green flag! Nice heads up!

On another note...if you are 2nd to DFL in your group and can't bother to look in your mirror or pay attention to the waving blue flag with a big yellow stripe...you have no business being on track racing :smash:

This is from mid-pack on Saturday... You can almost see what happened into Turn 3 at the start :-(

Hats off to the top 5 finishers. I'm always impressed.

(And yes, I have to move my camera slightly to the right to see the passenger mirror)

PS: I take free tips from fast guys ;-)

Not a rumor...

I think there may be some confusion between #13 cars...An E30 driver, I believe #13, was given a 1 year suspension. Marco(#13 white Miata)indicated he was unaware of any action against him(suspension wise). Maybe Craig can correct this if Marco was not forthcoming with me. I think as a young fast driver his pattern of being a little to optimistic at times will subside...it's unfortunate he has dug himself a reputation early on. I will say as far as I could see he drove really clean and respectful at the SCCA opener and had his first podium finish I believe(scca). I can think of a few young drivers who ruffled feathers on track early on but have gone on to gain huge respect and props.  :twocents:  Some of them post great videos :D
