I'd like to get some assistance from someone who has configured this combination before.

I've followed all the steps.  Most of it seems to be working, but I'm not sure about how I can test it at home - specifically, confirming the TraqDash will turn on the camera automatically.

How exactly does that work?  Do I need to get up to a specific speed before the data starts logging, and that starts the camera?

I put it in autocross mode and drove slowly on the neighborhood street, but the camera did not turn on.  I'd like to confirm it's working before I head to the track.

Thanks in advance.

Here is a response I got on the TraqMate Forum (http://forum.traqmat...hp?f=27&t=19406):

We have a new feature in the TraqDash that allows you to test in your
driveway without GPS. With the latest firmware loaded up on the
TraqDash, go into the setup on the main screen and go to time/gps. You
can then click to 'simulate gps' this will make the Traqmate think it
has GPS. You can then go into drive mode and test the camera operation.
It should turn on/start recording once the timing starts. When you power
cycle the TraqDash the unit simulation mode will be back to normal.
