[5X Racing]

Hey all you Mazda Racers out there, since being appointed 2011 Race Director for NASA Florida I am going to spoil the best kept secret for racing in Florida. We are looking for more racers to join our ranks this season, whether it is HPDE, Time Trials, or wheel to wheel racing. We have a good program that we are building, affordable race entry fees, courteous and level headed racers that won't smash your car up passing you for 8th place, and most of all we have a hell of a good time! Our race group is being forged by actual racers (most race group officials race during the weekend) who know what racers want and are doing all that we can with our regional directors to make NASA Florida the most fun race organizations to be involved with in Florida. So, with that in mind, please bookmark some of our races on your 2011 race schedule, here is a list of our races and some helpful links to get you started on the right path for 2011:

My first event is on March 12-13. I will be in HPDE 1 running a Spec Miata. It is the copper one my dad raced on January 8-9. My dads name is Ernie, he has the Yellow GT-2 Corvette z06 racecar. I am Ernie Jr, his 13 year old son.

We are expecting you Lil Ernie! We can help you with your SM career like we helped Mike Lliteras, who in fact won our last race at Homestead, I think he is 14. You'll have a blast racing with us, a lot can be learned in a Spec Miata. Past Spec Miata racers are filling the grids at Rolex GT races, Continental Tire Challenge races, MX-5 Cup, and even Off road trucks. Spec Miata is definitely the best stepping stone class in club level racing right now, good choice!
