Just cannot believe it

Recorded the USGP qualifying. Transmission starts late, delayed by curling - WTF???

See whole of Q1, then towards the end of Q2, feed comes back from commercial break with the cars in park ferme after Q3! Never showed the end of Q2 or the entire Q3 session

IMO the qualifying session is often way more exciting than the race, and to have it screwed up this way is just unforgivable

NBC has shown repeatedly that they don't give two hoots for motor-sports or Formula 1.

Doubt that I have been more pissed off in recent times

I watched it live, I assumed it was time warner as they screw up all the time. Lots of q2 and q3 that were just blank black screen transmissions :(

I recorded the live CNBC broadcast (via Time Warner), and watched it all without a glitch.

NBC keeps doing that - switching the quali or sometimes the race to CNBC.  You need to watch practice to get clued in or else you wind up with curling - or something equally exciting like golf or sewing.

I had the same problem.  DVR does not look for programs of the same title on a different channel.  The way they cut in after the commercial with the final results you didn't even have the option of bailing out and watching another later replay.  Emailed complaint to nbcsports@nbcuni.com.

I really miss Speed. NBC sucks. Watched the replay on NBCSN. Race was pretty boring actually. Looking forward to next year.

I can beat that. We had a pretty severe storm coming through Illinois, Indiana and Michigan and our local NBC affiliate tracked the storm for at least an hour straight. I get it, a bad storm is coming, take cover etc. What I don't need is a play-by-play description of the storm front and what's causing it. Good thing the race was on 3 hours later on NBCsports channell on DirecTV.

Ditto on the Speed channel gone...WTF! Fox sports 1 sucks. Can anyone clue me in if most of the Speed programming moved somewhere else? I always had just basic cable...splurged one day on the extra $10 a month to get Speed, 4 months later its gone :banghead:

Bummer is my wife found a new channel she watches... :dope:

It took me about an hour to track down and program the various channels and times when P, Q and R were to run and then got curling instead.  @#$&*^%%&*

Contrary to what they thought, perhaps NASCAR wasn't the audience that was keeping them going?  ;)

Seems like a lot of the  Speed programming went to MavTV.

I'm guessing the Olympic Committee required the network to give equal time to the less popular sports in order to get the good stuff. Of course, that doesn't explain the pre-emption of the F1 race. Was the curling broadcast live? Do they have overtime in curling? Does anybody know the rules? I wonder who buys advertising on a curling broadcast. I wonder how all those advertisers who bought time on the F1 broadcast feel about this. There may be a job vacancy at NBC today.
