Hi All,

Just got round to registering here from the old forum and thought i'd kick off with some Miata Racing videos from the UK. I think I must have posted a few on the old forum but not sure I would have posted these as these are from late last year.

I'm not a regular MX5/Miata Racer but I do coach a number of drivers in the UK in Mazdas and have put lots of guys in MX5/Miatas as I truly beleive it's the ideal starter race series .. and it's so much fun you can stay there forever and still have as much fun as anyone else for much less money.

Anyway, I occasionally get a free driver of heavilly subsidised drive in the UK series and this was one occasion. It was actually 3 races in a single day, all are on Youtube but this one was the most fun and most spectacular despite being the worst result (had a 2nd place and win in the previous two races).

Anyway, the last lap of this race was so damn good as I was side by side with a fellow racer for a whole lap, I did a video of just that one lap but the race itself is also well worth watching as there is loads of action.

Anywway, here is the last lap ... there is a little contact latter on but I did my very best to avoid it and made sure I didn't benefit from it.

Yes, was a great days racing, we had 20 mins quali and 3 x 20 min races in just over 4 hours.

What kind of tires were they on? Sounded and looked like street tires?

Yes, they are street tyres. Hankooks I think but not sure of the model number.
