Show of hands anyone planning on this outside the SFR? Talent is going to attract talent...I know a lot of local fast guys on the fence for a variety of reasons but a deep field will attract more interest. I hope the Oregon crew makes this...lightning cant strike 2 years in a row for them right? Well, other than Matt!

Show of hands please??

BTW...the pricing structure seems kind of dumb IMO. $100 penalty(only) may get NASA a lot more late entries from local guys who just want the experience but weren't thinking about this 5 months in advance!!

Only way they are going to get entries now is keeping the price reasonable. Everyone has blown their budgets on the other options out there this year! But let's all campaign to get at least a 30+ car field!

I found some $$$ so I'll be driving as well as performing Series Director functions at this one...  At this point I'd like to see 20 cars, I think I make the total 8.

Again...I'm going to keep preaching this...there should be no late fee up until a week before! What has NASA got to lose other than a whole bunch of entrants that dont want to pay more?  :optimist:  This will get Locals to come out maybe...and maybe a couple of people who did or didnt do so well at the Runoffs!

I like the NASA qualifying race format...ads a lot of interest...especially for us spectators. And this is only a 3 day event correct?

Bring up some Socal guys with you John!!!  I say we need 31...can tap the money train this way! Every teen Challenge participant should show just for the experience...if not to win!

As of Friday the field is small but shaping up to be fun...

There are two non-California entries, so give it up for Zachary Munro (Rocky Mtn) and Hernan Palermo (TX) !!!

Two : 1.6

Two : NA8's

Eight : 99's

One : 01

That is VERY surprising.  I figured at Sonoma that they would have 50 or so as well. Isn't Sonoma looked at as a "preferred" track when compared to Laguna  By the west coast guys?   Two big events this in a row this year after years of having none may be proving to be too much at once?

Gale, one car is coming out so maybe you guys can share transport and save some $$.

Call Chris, he was thinking of a few more who might want to come too.

Would love to go John but my racing budget was blown with the East Coast National trip.  Unless I can get a sponsor my 1.6 will have to watch online.

NASA could fill this event up by lifting their five race qualifying rule. With everything going on this year, that's asking too much.

Along with no late fee another great idea! Again, I would guess there are quite a few out there that would do this event no question if these 2 items are waived.

To Answer your question Jim...in a normal year there would be a lot more entries. NASA is less subscribed on the west coast...especially Nor cal region and Oregon. Not sure on SoCal. A majority of top drivers(and mid pack)form Washington to San Diego are SCCA first. A lot of Money has been spent this year on Majors and Runoffs. Miller got a lot of crossover because it was the only thing out here last year. Different story now.

As far as which of our 3 tracks in NorCal is the "best", I think it is just a preference thing. Personally I think Sonoma is the most technical and requires the biggest set of jewels to truly be fast :)
