I love how things go viral!

No DQ's, not even on the compliance list for weekend.

It was a friendly warning that it could/might/would be on future compliance list for ALL classes not just SM.

Compliance for this event was light due to heat of July. Impound all on Sat after qualifying to check RP, tires, SARRC series decals, SCCA decals and ballast bolts. Post race was weight, RP, manifold coating ( exterior only). No one stayed for a full 30 minutes. We released as soon as possible.

And yes, operating Steward spoke with me about cars laying back on starts and wisely, Sunday was much better than Sat. I was in the tower as a start judge for Sunday.

Jim, your involvement and experience is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Head light and tail light coatings should be illegal, they add AERO advantages to the car, this not a gray area it is blatant cheating!

I have read articles that state that covering the headlights and tailights with special film can reduce lap times by .250-.500 per lap consistently.

I am ready to start my letter writing champagne already.

I am sure the fix is already in the change the rules to allow such cheats as only the fast guys are doing this cheat currently...

Yes, I knew I had to do something to combat all these uber 01+ cars.  As you point out the aero advantage of tinted tail lights is undeniable.  I had to give it a shot.

You can count me in on your champagne.

We got the same complaints at Blackhawk. It sure would be nice if tech would worry about things that make difference, like cams or restrictor plates, instead of stickers.

Where can I get those cams that make a difference?

My car had a Mazda emblem on the hood until a 110 mph bird strike.

Ummm...are you referring to the emblem on the bumper right in front of the Hood? If there are stock miatas with emblems on the hood i got ripped off!
