Hoping somebody has something laying around that they would like to get rid of. I lost my oil pump at the last race. I am not looking for a race prepped engine. Just hoping to find something to get me on the track for my second race so I can finish my novice obligations and get my regional license.

Most of the local junk yards are asking $600-700 for a 1.6 with unknown mileage and compression. If anyone has something within a 2 or 3 hour driving distance of south Jersey I would be very interested. If anyone is looking to trade I have a '95 1.8 that I would love to get out of my garage. Thank you for your time.

wow I just picked up a 1.6 w/ good compression for $430 would have been $330 (including tax) but I didn't have a core.. have you tried pick and pull ?

If you can arrange shipping, then this one in Charleston, SC is priced right.

Thanks for the replies.

Todd, I did check the "pick and pull" and they want way too much money. Like I previously stated, most wanted $600-700 for a questionable motor. I am looking for a cheap motor at a cheap price. For a couple hundred dollars more I could get a complete car. But thank you for the suggestion.

Tom, thank you for link. I will give him a call Monday and see how he feels about shipping. Thanks

Maybe another racer could haul for help with gas.
