Hi.  I've been registered here for a bit as i have been interested in getting into SM.

 

Was wondering if there were any local SM participants I could get involved with to get the lay of the land before I jumped and discover something I should have known....  i live in the east cobb / marietta section of town.

 

I've been doing DE for years.  Car costs and safety reasons has me thinking the smart move is to pick up a SM. Get out of the DE horsepower wars and see if I can really "drive".

 

I have not picked up a car yet but fall is always a good time....

Tom Fowler at OPM is your man. Just goggle OPM Autosports. He's not far from you up in Cummings. Just go to the Big Chicken and turn toward Cummings. (Local joke).

Jason Hoover at Atlanta Motorsports Group would be an excellent choice and has built cars which have won the 2009 and 2010 Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship. Mark Drennan has cars built by Jason and I suspect he will be very competitive if not unbeatable at this years runoffs at Laguna.

couple people contacted me via pm.  just trying to jump the learning curve before i find out i am doing everything backwards.  early cars, late cars, 1.6, 1.8....  i'm just looking to be able to keep my options open.
