Them starters are heavy, pull start ropes can be stored in the tool box. Keeps nose wieght down for those of us with low compression

You can bypass the clutch interlock so you just need to turn the key. (out of gear)

No idea if legal but I always assumed it was...lot of cars without keyed ignition
