If the weather cools a lot...we may see 44's. But for sure a lot more will be in the 45's and 46's come race day.

What is a bent hood?  How does a bent hood become a DQ?  Go No Go gauge (sarcasm).  GCR reference?

they used a whistler to test it. Hood closed with the right blinker on it read 0.0

To dq for a bent hood i would think the tech shed percieved and advantage????  More air to the air box???  more aerodynamic???  this one sounds crazy to me!

That's for sure.  Perhaps this is the new standard for how the rest of us find out about new specs or test procedures.   

 

I sure hope this isn't a preview of how the race winner is determined.

More details are in order to understand this...


Was not there. Full disclaimer here this is hearsay. Basically there was larger than a 6 mm gap(in gcr)in the hood in some places. Definitely some tweaking on cars this morning in the paddock… LOL. It sounded like Andrews hood was bent from a front and collision. Basically bent up in the middle of the hood. Was actually above the fenders on both sides from what I heard. I hope someone will correct me if I'm spreading false information!

Andrews hood was not and advantage.. Nothing more than saving the money not buying a new hood. It was not even on air box side.
Thankfully he bettered his time today.

Today was weight for me and most top guys had some type of sonic leak detector run around the entire intake looking for air by passing the restrictor plate

Track is really tough on us for set up.. My car good today for first time.. Craig, erik and Luke's cars were a handful.. Getting here At 6:30 and leaving at 7:30 every day seems the norm as always..

Mark seems to be a man on a mission! Congrats on prov. pole!

Bench, make that three...only my 4th session on track. This track is awesome but setup is very different from any track I run on the east coast. We've been chasing a wicked loose car...

I fully agree there are a bunch of guys in 1.6s back in 25th as good of drivers as Drago and Drennan... If they just had a 99+ car they could win this year!

Pat, that wasn't my point. I predicted and posted last year at Runoffs time that the 1.6 would be history for the left coast 2014 Runoffs. Hey, I'm happy with my 1.6 that I don't have the capabilities to get the max out of.

With the SpeedCast video  and live timing is there an y place that shows green/yellow and session time/session time remaining???
