Shouldn't the SCCA (National Office) be out in front of this?  They made a ruling that 100% of the cars  at the Runoffs inspected were illegal.

Shouldn't we be Whisling all the cars attending?  I think a simple head removal, valve removal, inspection of the STR, for those cars that finish in the top 10 is only fair.

If the percentages are the same at the races coming, there are a lot of people running cars deemed non-compliant, whether they know it or not.  They should be shown for what they are!

Sorry I won't be able to make it to VIR or the ARRC, good luck and have fun.

As a TEMPORARY solution to this situation would it even be possible to make a smaller restrictor for those who might have non-conforming heads until the rules get cleared up?

It's a lot easier to fab a 37mm restrictor plate and stick it on than get dozens of cylinder heads re-done for the upcoming events like VIR, ARRC and even our regional in a couple of weeks at TWS.  Probably couldn't be done by SCCA-E but if they came from a couple of sources like back in the old days and got measured then it might be do-able.

Flame away!!
