Girls & Boys,

This is an awesome opportunity to race Laguna Seca with only Spec Miatas on the track.

NCRC is offering a SM only race group!

NASA, SCCA and other sanctioning body logbooks and Licenses are welcome. PM me if you have questions.

The format is going to be:

Saturday: Practice, Qual, Race 1

Sunday: Qual, Race 2, Race 3

So that's 3 races, for $250 for the weekend! Yes, $125/day....

But there is a catch, you need to be registered by April 22nd. If we don't have 30 cars signed-up by then, it's not happening. So sign-up this week and you're done.

PS: It's a 90dB day which is no problem for a Miata with a muffler. If you don't have one, Tony & Joe at TCDesign have been fixing people up. I've passed with flying colors in the past.

So who is in?

Hoping to have 2 cars entered! I would think any NASA driver who is going to do the West Coast champs would jump at the chance for some cheap track time!

I would think so too, just need to spread the word and make sure they sign-up in the next few weeks. It will be cancelled if not enough sign-up are in by April 22nd.

Did you register your 2 cars already?

OK, this is embarrassing, only 4 cars signed-up so far...  :-(

If we don't get to the magic number by next week, it will get cancelled and everybody who signed-up gets a refund.

What's the hold-up?

Richard.

Ok I just signed up ..  Considering this is the cheapest venue to warm up for the NASA championship I can't believe everyone isn't jumping on this

First TMC race in Fontana the weekend before, otherwise I would be there.

I am still considering showing up for one day to prep for the championships, would that be possible? $125?

For those of you who signed-up, thank you!

OK guys. We are still short a good bunch to make this happen. The deadline is actually this week-end.

Call your friends, spread the word. This is a prime opportunity to race Laguna for an unbeatable price...

I plan on signing up, but I'm waiting to make sure that the amazing Aaron Braverman can help me resurrect my car from last year's engine fire (now that I have the t-bone crash damage repaired).

Do we know how many signups there are at this point?

From the NCRC website:

We require 30 registered and paid SM drivers by April 25th, to hold the race. If we don't have 30 drivers, we will cancel/refund the entries and create a "lite" group in the time slot.

Does anyone know what they mean by "create a 'lite' group'"? Will there be any place for SMs if they cancel the SM-only race?

Unfortunately it's not looking good unless there's an amazing last minute push...I'm hoping.
