My donor wheels are 15x6 OEM Enkei wheels (with 195/50/15 street tires).

Can these wheels reasonably be used as rain wheels, or not.

Trying to sell them, when it occurred to me that maybe they could be used as rains.

Yes or no?

Thanks,

Jim

I believe they are under 13lbs...so I would say no!

Wait...99 wheels? Never weighed them...pretty sure all stock NA wheels are to light!

I believe anything from 99-00 in a 15" wheel, weighs over 13 lbs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but as long as it's no wider or taller than 15x7 and no lighter than 13 lbs and it doesn't go over the max track width, it's a legal wheel.

Needs to be one piece as well.

Here's NASA
17. Wheel Assembly
17.1. Any fifteen (15.00) inch diameter rim/wheel with a maximum width of seven (7.00) inches, and a
minimum weight of thirteen (13.00) pounds, may be used. All four (4) rims must dimensionally match.
Other than the stock fifteen (15) inch Mazda steel wheels, all wheels must be one piece. (i.e. No
multi piece bolted, riveted, or welded wheels).

Thanks for all the good info.

Also, I was wondering whether it was a dumb idea to use these wheels as rains, due to their smaller size.

Or, do you guys use the same size wheel for dries and rains, just with different tires.

What happened to my font!?

Most have the same size rim, either 25 or 30 offset and just put rains on when needed or have a set mounted ready top go.

On a budget/just starting,
you want to use your wheels for racing, don't want to change tires,
chances of rain are slim but still want to come with one set,
etc, you use the OEMs.

No advantage over the other wheels ^^, that I see.
