Which generation suspension top is this?

So i am going to upgrade to the fat cat system but i am curious as to what is actually on the car...lol I have used it this way for a while now but i mostly just curious and so i can have a base line.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong (Dave W?) but it looks like the earlier option which used the 99+ hats with the rubber bumps and aluminum spacer. In that case you least have the necessary hats for the upgrade and need only the bushing kit.

The shock hat (black) is not a 90/93 shock hat. Comparing to my 99 shock hat they look the same. Look at FatCat and compare to their assembly illustration as they show a 99 shock hat. I have some aluminum spacers from the bottom side as your picture shows from a version along the way. There were several iterations of top end shock mounting before the FatCat solved the blowing out issue.

Thanks guys, after looking a little more they are 99 hats which is good, i almost hit send today on buying them...ooops 

Is there a big difference between this setup and the fatcat?

Yes, and the lower you run the bigger the difference. Arguably less critical now that we get more camber without lowering as much, but those rubber stops are extremely hard which makes handling characteristics change abruptly. You do have the adjustable upper inner front bushings, right?
