TOPEKA, Kan. (Feb. 11, 2016) – Fourteen top-tier partners have pledged support for 2016 SCCA U.S. Majors Tour competitors through contingency sponsorship programs. The group of corporate partners includes auto makers, tire manufacturers and other companies that make and sell motorsports-related items. A full rundown of contingency offerings can be found at www.scca.com/contingency.

For starters, SafeRacer, the Official Safety Provider of SCCA and title sponsor of the SCCA National Club Racing Program, will be offering a $500 product certificate to the Nationwide Points Champion in each of the eligible 28 classes.

Honda Performance Development (HPD) leads off the list of auto manufacturers involved in 2016 with prizes of $500, $300 and $150 for top-three finishers piloting select vehicles at any Majors races. Other Honda/Acura vehicles competing in various classes are also eligible for bonuses of $200, $100 and $50 for podium finishes.

Chevrolet is awarding cash payouts to eligible podium finishers in the B-Spec class. Eligible winners can receive a $750 payout. Second place earns $500 and third gets a $250 payday.

Competitors racing a 2005 or newer Mustang, 1999 or newer Focus, or 2011 or newer Fiesta are eligible for awards from Ford Performance. Payouts of $700, $500 and $250 will be awarded to top-three finishers of eligible classes at all Majors races. Formula Enterprises and Formula F Majors Conference Champions powered by a Ford engine will also receive a $1,000 check.

Mazda North American Operations is supporting several of their customers across a variety of classes. Majors race winners in eligible classes will earn $800 while second and third get payouts of $500 and $250, respectively. In addition, a conference class title is worth $1,750. Spec Miata drivers have their own payout system for the top three finishes with $600, $350 and $175 bestowed in that order. Conference champs will also receive a $1,750 prize. And Formula Mazda drivers are eligible to earn the $1,750 year-end prize for a Conference Championship.

MINI USA, too, offers payouts to its drivers finishing in the top three spots of eligible Majors classes at the rate of $500, $250 and $100, while a Conference Championship prize of $1,250 is also available.

From Nissan Motorsports, drivers of current model cars racing in eligible classes will collect $500 for a win, $250 for a second-place finish and $100 for capturing the final podium position. In addition, a Conference Championship is worth $1,000. Also, drivers of non-current model Nissans and Datsuns can claim $250 for wins in an eligible class, $150 for second place and $100 for third. A $1,000 prize is also available to eligible Conference Champions.

Toyota/TRD will support its customers taking part in the U.S. Majors Tour by awarding $800 to eligible Toyota drivers in GT-2 and GT-3. All other eligible drivers taking a win in an eligible class will receive $400. Toyota/TRD is also prepared to award eligible Scion FR-S drivers $500 for a Majors race win, $300 for second and $150 for third. All other Scion drivers in eligible Majors classes will capture $400 for a first-place finish.
