I came up with a simple little idea racing this weekend in torrential rain that I thought I'd share...

With the paddock soaking wet, and my spot oily due to an oil leak that took me a day and a half to find, I didn't want my feet slipping off a slippery clutch pedal. (My other pedals have grip tape on them but the clutch is bare metal.) I put my shoes with dry soles in little waste can sized plastic bags, then put my feet in the shoes while they were in the bags. Then I put a old but dry towel on the floor pan, climbed in the car, and handed the towel and baggies out the window before heading to grid.

Dry soles. No slippery pedals. Simple but effective. :)

Been carrying Totes for years. Mine have a nice molded wingtip pattern.

++2 on the Totes tip.

Use them all the time, especially when the paddock grass is just damp.
