Anybody use one of these cameras? Just picked one up and was wondering if there are any setting tweaks to Audio or Exposure that you have found that work well installed in the car?

Attached is 's my XD1080 config file.  Be sure to change the "UPDATE: x" to "Y" and change the date/time in the "DT:" section.  My camera is mounted on my down cross tube above the trans tunnel and I get good exposure and sharpness of both interior and exterior.

This is predicated on the cameras using the same configuration file formatting too...

Cool, thank Brandon! I'll see how these compare to how mine are currently set, when I get home. Sounds like we might be mounted in the same location. Mine is just about the same as my eye level. Need to finish wiring it up so I can just toggle switch it On/Off from the driver's seat.

It's not easy to see (attached), but I installed Replay's own power/start/stop button where the cigarette/12V power source was located.  The diameter is nearly perfect and I only had to Dremel out some of the flange behind the dash to make it fit flush.

Do they still sell those buttons? I was told they no longer make them.

You may be right and I'm glad I got mine when I did!

I purchased mine from Stable Energies in Garfield, NJ...

I didn't see an offering for the button. I have mine hard wired to an auxiliary fuse panel for power with a toggle to turn it On/Off. Set the camera so that when it sees aux power it starts recording. Worked in the garage, have yet to track test it though.

I have used the record when turn on option and works well. I am able to reach mine when mounted (right off my right shoulder), but I do have to wait tighten my shoulder belts until after I turn it on which is not an issue as I REALLY do not like loose belts so I will never forget to tighten them after turning the camera on.

I have yet to look into the aux power option, but that is probably my next thing to look at camera wise.
