No one sells used tires at Mid Ohio until corded One of the few tracks if any that like old wore out tires. I sent you a PM on tires

Most every track we go to.. you cant spend enough on stickers to go fast. For some strange reason that is not the case at Mid Ohio( I really dont know the reason, something to do with surface). Every time I feel that makes no sense and I sticker up.. I go slower. Last year in test day on old tires I was about .5 faster than all we clocked..  In qualifying I went out on new tires and everyone else went out on older ones and I qualified 7th.  I bet you will see most on tires older than 3-4 cycles IMO.

I have a theory. Mid O has a smooth surface to start with and then they add sealer to the apexes for even more grip, so much grip i think the stickers grip to much it binds the car rather than being free. Older harder less grip tires get a better slip angle. IMO.

 

otherwise what do i know other than, my fastest laps are on older tires, less wt also.

I don't know how many track days you will be doing but I do have about 3 sets of used Toyo's and I'm only about 15 min. from you.

I will make you a hell of a deal if you just want some play tires. Just pm me if interested
