I'm seriously thinking about buying a Spec Miata. But I'd like to spend a test day driving one first. Summit Point in West Virginia is the closest track to me. And I was wondering if anyone in the community knew of someone who rents SMs in this region?

Collins is good, and you can also talk to RP Performance (Bret DePedro) http://www.rpperformanceracing.com
I've used both for various things and have no problem recommending either.

Depending upon where you live and your schedule, you could also to talk to Nick at FlatOut: http://www.flatout-motorsports.com . I rented a '99 from him last for NJMP and have nothing but good things to say about the experience.

An option I'd recommend is Chris Windsor.

Definitely Meathead or RP Performance.  You won't be disappointed with either of them.  There really is no other choice in the DC area.

I've sponsored, rented, raced and crashed Meathead cars. Besides racing, they also offer a great paddock experience ... friends, family, food, beer ... which is just as important.

We've all had run ins with Meathead cars just because there are so damned many of them. Hell, I've crashed into Meathead cars on false grid... :)
