^^^so you dont know what exactly was the problem? I have a similar miss in my 95...between 6000-6800(varies) it sounds and feels like the car hits the rev limiter early...but it is not consistent. Did/has not shown up on the dyno?

I was getting a low voltage reading for the Mass Air Flow sensor, it was not the sensor, so the replacing the harness fixed it I assume a bad connection on the harness. 'Beyond that No.

Frank, glad you found the problem. I had suspected the MAF, but electrical issues are often hard to diagnose, as well as the rarity of my being correct.

Ron, when the ground wire on my MAF failed (twice) it would stumble and ran WAY rich. Wires failed within sheathing near the connector. When the power lead failed, pin making poor connection, it would stumble and went very lean. Gentle wiggle testing helped determine location.

I replaced the entire harness from the ECU to the motor, its a short harness, its just difficult to get under the dash to unplug and replace but otherwise simple. plug and play.

I'm curious if the harness came out at some point in order to facilitate a Concours d'Elegance interior and engine bay paint job?  These old (lightweight, smaller-than-usual gauge wire) harnesses don't really like being pulled in and out of the car.

The lap timer and T/S sheet can't tell if the floorboard is shiny, but DNFs and engine misses are real!

The entire harness was replaced when the car was built as it was a flood car. The harness i put back in was from the flood harness.
