I agree with Danny and others, but if this bonehead move was done on me I would take every measure possible to protest and whatever else i could do legally, and then i would rope a dope that douche bag within an inch of his life, and whoever else came to his defense.  I was disappointed that Custer didn't wait for that jackleg puss to take off his helmet and then pound him. While it makes for good TV racing, it is SO BAD, SO BAD.. Show a little class, the idiot could have easily got by him after the bump in the corner.

The sad thing is that he will  probably pick up sponsors now which pisses me off.

John Hunter Nemechek Quickest At The Milwaukee Mile

By John Wiedemann

Updated: June 12, 2012

West Allis, WI – Just about the last car to run in qualifying, John Hunter Nemechek set the fast time for The Swiss Colony Howie Lettow Memorial 150L Presented by RaceTeamGear.com at the Milwaukee Mile.

After a birthday yesterday, the now 15 year old Mooresville, North Carolina racer continued his celebrating today. Running on a mile track for the first time, Nemechek bested his elders by touring the historic speedway in 29.004 seconds. Nemechek is the son of Sprint Cup Series driver Joe Nemechek.

Brent Kirchner was second fastest with a lap of 29.057 seconds followed by Chris Weinkauf (29.125), Chase Elliott (29.131) and Griffin McGrath (29.133).

Rusty Wallace and his team change the engine following qualifying. [Russ Lake Photo]

Seventy-two cars set time today with the top twenty-six locked into the field for tonight’s race. The rest of the field will be filled by a last chance race and provisionals. NASCAR drivers Rusty Wallace and Aric Almirola are on the outside looking in after qualifying 27th and 35th respectively. Wallace changed his engine following qualifying and reportedly will take a provisional to start 36th in the feature. Matt Kenseth is in the show after turning in the 22nd fastest time while son Ross qualified 64th. ASA Midwest Tour points leader Andrew Morrisey qualified 47th and will need to race his way in to the feature.

Setups have changed for the better since the last time the ASA Midwest Tour ran at the Mile back in 2008. Kyle Busch had the pole for that race with a lap time of 29.576 seconds. That time would have placed him 34th today.

John Hunter Nemechek, during the Milwaukee Mile race down the front straight caused an accident and took out IIRC a total of 10 cars including himself. Never saw that many cars crash in one situation and been watching them there since 1963. My actual first spectator race there in 1954, Hudson Hornets, Olds, Chevy, Chryslers 300's prepared by Carl Kiekhaefer and Fords.

Causing contact to win a race is an utter disrespect to the world of Motorsport, especially in the reckless fashion that appears here.  Nemechek should have his licence removed permanently and banned from NASCAR forever.  F***ing a**hole, he could have really hurt somebody like a fan, or the flag station worker.  He had no idea what the consequences were when he did that, and the excuse of "safety equipment is really good nowadays" is the most bitchiest and naive of cop-outs I've ever heard in my 30 years on this planet.

In my opinion the real enemy here is NASCAR,  their decision to uphold and support his reckless and dangerous contact only highlights the corrupt nature of their organization.

THE SAFETY EQUIPMENT IS THERE IN CASE OF A CRASH, NOT TO ENCOURAGE ONE!

As a safety engineer for a leading OEM, I am embarrassed and enraged that the NASCAR drivers feel they can take advantage of our life's work by abusing the safety of the race cars like that.  May Karma instill the coldest and harshest revenge upon him.  What a twat.

While I put my feelings in more politically correct terms, THIS IS HOW I REALLY FEEL. I am disgusted that there has been no sanction of Nemechek

I am with you on this, under what interpretation of "sport" is it ok? Racing is supposed to be a contest of your Skill, racecraft, equipment prep. a true contest is drivers going at it and passing the the other without contact. Honestly, it really takes none of that to just crash someone out of your way. You can have no skill, no speed, no racecraft and be a winner.

In a society that is moving more into a ME ME lifestyle with the need to share every detail is it a wonder adolescents and young adults have a difficult time separating right from wrong in a need to feed their self righteous attitudes? The portion of that video in which the driver is standing under the starter stand with his arm up tells it all.

And before any young guys on here who have a clue get offended i'm generalizing...but as a percentage, there are far more young adults now that will grow up thinking only about themselves first and far less about what really makes life worth living!

Ron, I'm with you 110%. I see it every day when I do my daily 2 mile walk. Moms and dads driving children to school while
speeding and not stopping for stop signs. Where do these ME ME parents believe their darling children obtain their diss respectful habits when riding their bikes and when they start driving cars.

Mr. Mayor, are you suggesting I need to go to NASCAR? LOL

NASCAR is not a sport. It's entertainment. Much closer to a circus than sport. Danny is right, the bigger the wreck the better NASCAR likes it. If any driver speaks up about safety, they get fined. NASCAR got bigger AFTER the death of it's biggest star.

Just by not doing anything to Nemechek, NASCAR shows it's approval of win at any cost. Last lap? OK Two laps to go? Sure. First lap? Where do they draw the line? They will never say. Say you don't like something NASCAR has done? Fine$$$$!!!!!!

I went to my first NASCAR race this year at Kentucky Speedway because I got free passes from a coworker. It will be my last NASCAR race.

Here is an even better view of it. You need to watch it all the way to the end to see his hand gesture.

They not only support.. They encourage it. That was as bad as I have seen. Total disrespect. Custer will pay him back in the chase when it matters. So not only was it a total loser move, it was stupid too as his championship run is over as far Custer is concerned.. I didnt feel Loganos deal was deserved last year.. While I dont approve.. This one will be 100% justified.
