There are so many guys that could pull this off. Very deep field this year. Then there's the runoffs factor including tech shed. Very hard call who be the top 3 standing at the end. So I am going with whom I would like to see at the final.

Being I'm on the conservative side while taking qualifying and weather as factors, my picks will be on 9/24/2016 at SM grid time.

9/24/2016 Weather 76*, 60%   And Danny will be elsewhere.

Hmmm, we all know the part weather played for the 2015 Runoffs.

If Danny was at mid Ohio in the rain he would be getting towed out from multiple sand traps some times on the same lap!!!

On the other hand the weather is perfect for the NASA Nats.

 

High of 79  and partly cloudy all week. Hope its not like Road America where that means it will rain for sure and have 30 degree swings in high temps.

I really just hope weather doesn't become a factor.  Either needs to be torrential downpour or dry.  If the race would have started on time last year, many would have said Cory and Alex won because they picked rain tires, which is true.  But, since it didn't and it dried, Goring and carbonelle were going 4 seconds a lap faster and goring won because it dried in the last 15 min, which is true.   No offense to goring at all, he drove great, but its just true.  I would like this years champ to win with no other factors like that.  Less pre race decisions and more driving/competing.
