Other than the head gasket or a cracked block are there any other ways coolant could enter the engines oiling system?

The oil cooler (oil warmer) uses coolant.

You can take off the oil cap and pour it in but I don't recommend that.

Cracked head probably more likely than a cracked block. A radiator pressure tester might help to diagnose it.  Some auto parts stores loan or rent those I think.
