I would like to thank all the drivers & crews for their cooperation in tech. The cars at this years ARRC were the best prepared cars I ever recall seeing at any race. We (tech) tried to check items that had not been looked at in a while. I made the call not to be invasive in the motor this year and that was based on the fact that many of the front running cars had been thoroughly checked recently.

Atlanta Region is already making plans for the 2017 ARRC and we hope all of you will include the ARRC in your race plans next year. We know many of you will be heading for Indy and we hope you have fun running there. Racing at Indy will be a thrill but Road Atlanta is still Road Atlanta. And all of us know that our next lap there will be better than the last one. That's what makes the track one of the best there is.

Again, thanks for supporting the ARRC.

BTW, our March Majors date has been changed to March 11th & 12th. This was done primarily to get off the Sebring 12 hour race.

It now conflicts with Pirelli World Challenge at St. Pete.

Well, the truth be told, we did not do it. Back after last years Majors, our race director told Road Atlanta it would be nice to get off the Sebring 12 hour since we loose both workers and entrants to it. So, last week, Road Atlanta told him that the dates posted on the SEDiv schedule for our March race was wrong and that it was a week earlier. They had moved it without confirming we still wanted to do so and given our traditional date to another organization. We tried contacting them and switching back but were told no way!

So, we are damned if we do and damned if we don't. We have very little leverage anymore negotiating dates with Road Atlanta. NCR has the same with VIR. Yes, we are the week after NOLA but we would have been the weekend before COTA. Both are no wins. And we don't want to move the Majors to July. Too many drivers are already finished by then. In today's racing world, it's almost impossible to put together a schedule that does not overlap another race unless you are NASCAR and then you can run drivers and teams back and forth across the country at will.

Personally for me this created at conflict. I have a short track race that weekend up at Charlotte so I'll be doing a lot of late night driving to make both. Good part is there is not much traffic at 3 AM on I-85.

Well, they figured out how to beat me at Atlanta :)  I won't be able to defend my wins from this year as I will be on vacation that week with my mom for her 80th Birthday,  I think several guys just smiled  :(

Please move it back :)
