All of the CSRs have Spec Racer Ford arrive and drive rentals. Some very competitive, such as the pole sitter in Sebring.

Are Spec Miata rentals available? I'm interested in the Northeast, in this case the NJMP SCCA driver's school the first weekend in April.

Thanks,

David

Spec Miata does not have an official CSR program, as the Spec Racer Ford class has CSR's (Customer Service Rep). SRF is sold exclusively through SCCA Enterprises and the CSR's are the local reps for SCCA Enterprises. The larger SM shops act as defacto CSR's. Bringing lots of spare parts to the track and generally being of help to all SM racers.

Most of the larger shops offer rental programs. I do, but due to geography, I do not service NJMP. The names that where listed above are all top flight teams that offer good cars, great service and loads of fun for the drivers. You can not go wrong with any of them.

Many individual car owners will rent thjeir car. just make sure you know what you are getting into with individual rental programs.

Hope that helps

Dave

I use Rosmar for some of my Miata work, and they rent out Miata's.  Good quality cars priced affordably.  Not sure they would be front runner cars, but you're not paying the higher costs associated with them or the high buyout if something should happen to the car.  Mark is the owner; super nice guy.  http://www.rosmarracing.com/

I agree with all of the above.  When I was starting out in SM, I was renting from Nick at Flatout.  He runs a really first class operation.  Great cars; great support.   I will also put in a plug for Chris Windsor at Windsor Custom Motorsports.  He is based in Maryland, and goes to NJMP frequently.  Again, a great guy, knows everything there is to know about prepping, fixing, and driving Miatas, and always willing to help out anyone with a problem.

One thing I've learned about the SM community is that it really is like a big family.  Rivalry, camaraderie, friendship; we got it all!  It's a small enough community, and everyone will do whatever they can to help you succeed.  You really can't go wrong.

David, Meathead Racing is currently renting cars for the WDCR Drivers School at Summit Point Motorsports Park on March 18th and 19th.  Shoot me an email if you are interested or have any questions around renting a Spec Miata.   Nick@meatheadracing.com

Chris Windsor in Thurmond, MD might be there supporting an entrant.  Give him a ring too for price comparisons.

Also, PM me with your contact details and we can discuss other options.  I'll be instructing at the event and can provide some additional guidance for you.

HTH,

Brandon

Flatout Motorsports will be there as well. They usually have a large amount of rentals there.
