Daniel, who do I have to email (or perform favors for) to get Blue added in there? And maybe a black border too? Or maybe just any color?

A little side step...if a competitor chooses not to participate in the MAZDA program(parts/contingency)..Is there any SCCA or NASA rules that require MAZDA stickers to be run?

You mean the factory Logo color?  Weird that is not an approved color, but Chrome is?

Danny's car is probably the most photographed amateur race car in the country.  It would make sense for MAZDA to want it approved since they are getting the benefit of it showing up in the publications.

d) I think he is okay here because the graphics aren't behind the letters, just around it

e) Yeah, the outline on the front mazda would not work. and mazda has denied other cars because of an outline this year

 

I get the point of the rule as they are trying to protect their brand and all that, but if it looks nice with an outline or in another non contrasting color, then who the hell cares.  Let everyone slide, or nobody slide.

This year Mazda has very tight graphic requirements, when we supply Mazda content we cant even use images of non compliant cars - was a bummer for my wife who had cut and planed to use the same matte purple metallic for the Mazda logos as is on the rest of her car.

 

So if you have a good race going try to keep Danny out of the shot so we can use them.

 

I do wonder what is up with the blue going away, that was always a nice choice.

I am just photoshopping mine black and calling it a day. Or I will just put blue chrome instead ... it doesn't say you cant have a color in the chrome!

I personally see no need for Mazda to make chrome a color choice, or to allow outlining...  Sure we can all make their logo prettier in our own opinions... 

 

The are gracious enough to have a MAZDA contingency program, try not to complain about good things guys!!!!

If danny and jim want to run Honda stickers and collect no contingency money its ok with me... 

 

I will just run legal MAZDA stickers myself and call it a day!

Not that i know of but they will require SCCA or NASA stickers and require you cover other other groups stickers.

 

I am told the fewer the stickers the faster the car.
