Anybody know the proper procedure for replacing a part like this?  Press fit?  Shrink fit?  Sealant?

I have never replaced the whole piece as I fear it wouldn't have the proper press fit into head anymore. I have replaced the nipple portion only with good success. Simply heat the solder/brass with fine torch tip and pull out the old nipple. Clean up the hole and install new nipple. Then braze. New nipple is removed from a new complete unit from Mazda.

Thanks for the idea.  Does the brazing burn off whatever coating is on there though?

No problem. Coating is a light shot of zinc to control rust. It is slightly discolored but never and issue for me

I replaced this tonight.  Drilled and tapped the old one for slide hammer.  Heated the local area with a propane torch.  Not much drama, both surfaces look great.  Pressed the new one in.  Used red loctite but probably unneccesary.  Thanks for the tips.
