Anyone ever tried to run an SM car at Pikes Peak? I looked at the rules briefly and it looks like there wouldn't be many changes, how ever performance-wise I don't think a Miata would be very competitive...

Running Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is a bucket list item for me, but unfortunately I can only afford one race car. Thoughts?

This only sounds fun if 70 of us can go up at the same time.

Our cars may be better suited to racing down the mountain, just sayin'.

Otherwise forced induction.

Saddens me that it's all paved now.

I'd think SM's could be up for a trophy if they let them in Vintage Class

Enjoy, I'd rather do a carnival ride where it's a bit more controlled.

I don't quite understand the thought process of anyone who stands on the side of the road in these open rally type races. Upside is you could become famous filming your own death? Lets see, stand next to the road in a rally race, play Rocky the flying squirrel off a cliff, or maybe free solo Halfdome? What gets you going?

This video is tame...but check your heart rate half way through! (and take a break from cars for a second)
