TOPEKA, Kan. (July 17, 2017) – Registration for the 2017 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® opens Wednesday, July 19, at 9 a.m. Central Time.  That means it’s also time for competitors to again register for a multitude of contingency opportunities before the first-ever visit to Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

There has been a slight change to the contingency registration process.  This year, registration for contingencies will be conducted through MotorsportReg.com to streamline the procedure. Competitors can simply sign up online for the appropriate contingencies when registration opens July 19 at 9 a.m. Central Time.  Changes can also be made through MotorsportReg.com up to September 10.  After that, drivers will only be able to adjust contingency selections on-site at the registration office in Tech.

Nearly 30 companies have stepped up to support racers by offering contingency sponsorship programs. Many contingency opportunities require pre-registration. Details and instructions to register for each of these programs are available at the SCCA Contingency webpage.  U.S. Majors Tour contingency registration does NOT include the Runoffs. It is the responsibility of each competitor to make sure they are in compliance with each program for which they would like to enroll. Below is a quick glimpse at what is available this year.

Again, it is the responsibility of each driver to make sure they are eligible to receive any contingency awards in which they are interested. Be sure to check each requirement for each program by clicking here.

Has anyone on here made their own?  I know that the coolshirt really just stole the idea from the medical field, sooo has anyone tried using a medical purposed cooler/pump?  Do they work just as well?

Updates to 2017 Runoffs Contingency Program

TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 25, 2017) – A few more companies have added contingency programs for 2017 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® competitors. Many contingency opportunities require pre-registration. Specific details and instructions to register for each of these programs are available at the SCCA Contingency webpage.

Registration for many contingencies is being conducted through MotorsportReg.com this year.  However, please be aware that several contingency programs also require competitors to register directly with the supporting sponsors.  All drivers are highly encouraged to carefully review each requirement for each program at the SCCA Contingency webpage.

Participants MUST complete the registration process correctly and place appropriate sponsor decals in proper positions to be eligible for awards. It is the responsibility of each competitor to make sure they are in compliance with each program for which they would like to enroll.  U.S. Majors Tour contingency registration does NOT include the Runoffs.

Changes to some contingency submissions can be made through MotorsportReg.com up to September 10.  After that, drivers will only be able to adjust contingency selections on-site at the registration office in Tech. Ouch.

Not sure I understand your ouch..

In our class Hoosier gives out 12 sets of tires..  VERY unlikely that they give that many away in any of the other classes as only the winner gets tires. They also compete against other tire companies in those classes.  Seems like a pretty good deal to me, actually it was pretty good for me :)

The way I read it is everyone else gets four sets for showing up. Now I read the official form and realized it was 1st only and for 2018 Majors.
