I am getting aim data from two ND cars (2016, 2017) - and we're seeing at times, in both cars, a change in oil pressure from high PSI to a lower PSI. For one car, aims is reporting a switch from 60psi down to 30psi. For the 2017, it's 90psi down to 36psi or so.
At both levels, the oil pressures move around in what I would expect it to be normally. Is there a switch or mode the car goes into that lowers the oil psi? I suspect that the oil cooler pump is turning on - but I cannot be sure.
That being said, does anyone else have AIM data with Oil PSI that they'd could share / Post?
Attached you will find a graph showing the drop along with oil temp. This drop does not happen all the time (for similar intensity and duration sessions), and oil pressures seem to start high again in the next session. No drop/damage etc.. was noticed other than the graph we're seeing here.
Normally - we'd suspect a damaged sensor - but because both cars are showing this behavior - I assume it's normal. That being said - we're unable to get any confirmation of what/why this is happening and would like to get further data.
