As has been discussed previously the important of low voltage is crucial in determining a potential accessory belt failure. I dont have a data system with warning capabilities for this (AIM Solo DL), but do have Accutech gauges and longacre oil and water pressure warning lights.

What's the best setup for a standalone indicator? I like the size and brightness of the longacre gauges. Should I be looking at something that indicates at <12.9v? Jim seemed to have an external light on his custom dash in another thread.

There's a light on the dash for that.

Covered by the Solo and not as bright as I would prefer.

Longacre makes a matching volt meter. I don't stock it but can have one in a day or 2

I have an order I'm building with you. I'll email you beforehand to add, thanks! I did a quick search and didn't one they offered.

Understood. That light is actually more intelligent than your average charging system light (at least on 99+) - it is ECU controlled and indicates both under- and over-charging. If it's that important to you you could probably just tap a remote light of your choice into that signal.

I just replicated the circuit in the stock cluster and put it on the center plate. I think it is a diode, a resistor and the Longacre light bulb. Trying to dig up where I found the specifics when I built it.
