1. Exactly which claims would those be?
2. How would YOU know?

Claims of building big power.

How would I know what?

I know I saw a car that was running just fine. Or everyone was down on power.

How would you *know* what the dyno results support (or don't support)?  Have you seen the dyno results from COTA?  I haven't.  The whole question was "why hasn't NASA released them?"  My statement was one of somewhat biting sarcasm aimed at Mr. Mueller's "expertise" regarding these magic axles.

Given the description of the dyno procedures used at the track, I can't imagine that the results have any meaning whatsoever.  From what VERY little I've heard, it was mostly a random number generator.  They could just as accurately have pulled numbers between 117-129 out of a hat and handed them out.

Besides, how many home built engines do you think there were at NASA champs?  Do you know which engines those were?  If ALL the engines were pro-built...how would the dyno results show anything about the DIFFERENCE between a pro and home build?

And finally, where the hell did this topic even come from?  I've seen no reference to anything about "pros claiming *big power*"?  Is this just some pet peeve of yours?  Like Bench, and his (past) incessant whining about the 1.6?

Did the continious discussion for the 1.6 result in gains for everyone with a 1.6, yep, now please close your pie hole 1.6 owner. If you can't keep up with the kids or anyone else in their 1.6, that'd be called a personal issue. Beside that ^ James has a word ratio beyond any written words I'm capable of.
