Thanks, did a quick search and got POG but had no idea what that was. Is there an octane limit?

Mmmm, not sure, never thought there was an advantage and really didn't wanted to spend the $$$.
If you do a search I know there's threads in Archives.
"Hot Gas" is not legal, but people complain of there eyes watering behind cars that do.
I think some people have done Dyno runs with all grades and found interesting data.
YMMV.
All else fails read the rule book.

Last year, all we ran was 93 octane pump gas. We went to 1 station every time because the gas didn't contain any ethanol. And some races are now saying you must run track gas

Like almost everything here there are factors involved which shape there opinions.
Pro build, crate, junk yard, Spark plus/changes, fluids/changes, Weather, location, altitude, track your at, on a budget, no budget, Top 5, mid pack, out to win, out for fun and on and on.
And it's up to you to listen, research, test and form your own opinion.
IMO,

Lately, I've resorted to using google site search for the old site. Much faster! "site:forum.specmiata.com <search terms>
