So what class are you guys double dipping in?

To me STL looks pretty good. Reading the GCR • Spec Miata cars completely conforming to Spec Miata class
specifications are eligible for STL.
The down side is you wouldn't be competitive will real STL cars, but I guess you can say the same for the ITS and ITA cars.

What year is your car? The 99s in our region can choose between ITS, STU or STL and the NAs can choose from SSM, SM2, STL or ITA I believe.

99 so yeah I have been thinking either ITS or STL.

I was going to register for SM and STL for the NHMS race (if I get my car done), just because STL is grouped with SSM and SM2.

Oh I was figuring the 99s were going to double dip in STL since SSM and SM2 are running in the same group. And like Dudley said, I don't think there is many STL cars out there. It would be like another SM race. lol

That said if the other 99s aren't going to double dip in group 2, then I think I will run in ITS also. I am kinda worried though that ITS and ITR cars will be way too fast for my rookie SM ass. Anyways I hope I can get the car ready in time.

So is STL just a regional class at this point or is it eligible for Nationals this year?

Regional only this year and national next year if they get enough racers.
