I'm sorry for the delay in wrapping up this build blog. There are a number of reasons for the delay but the main one is that I broke my right arm and ruptured a tendon in my thumb snowboarding. Recovery has been quite long and not having use of my right hand has impacted all aspects of personal and professional daily life. Fortunately I have a excellent surgeon and I'm about 90% back to normal. I got the completed car on track in July and it and my hand performed well.
Since this is a build blog, here's a build image of my arm.
From here on it's just glamour shots. A big thanks to the other half of OPM; Tracy Fowler. She's responsible for all the non iPhone photography and the artistic editing. Give her a call at OPM if you want great car photo work. She can even supply models.
I can't find any under-hood shots, but it looks like any other Miata under there, maybe a bit cleaner.
Final interior. I'm very happy with the end result. I moved the wiring out of the front console area (as seen on earlier posts) as it got in the way of shifting. No, I would not do it like this again but it's great to look at while sitting on the grid.
Exterior turned out great as well. I went with a MazdaSpeed themed graphic pattern that can be easily changed to a different color in later years if I get tired or the red. Breaking Bad fans will recognize some of the imagery here too.
Thanks to everyone who supported this build. I appreciate all the comments and views. Hope to see you at a track soon.
