LOL, I got a kick out of this one. Really, I thought Prius drivers would outrank Bimmer drivers as jerks.

All in good fun, guys. I drive a 1-series BMW. :)

I drive a 335 and can confirm that we are perceived in this manner.  In defense of the public at large, I will say that quite often when I see cars parked in handicapped spots (that shouldn't be), cars parked in fire lanes and many other selfish moves in traffic - they are often Mercedes, BMW's, Audi's, Lexi or Infinit's.

I have a huge pet peeve with people jumping into crosswalks in front of moving cars and those people just expecting that you will stop.  I was raised not to step off the curb unless it was safe to do so but in the every growing entitlement-state mentality, people simply walk out in front of cars and they are pissed if you don't come to a halt.  I see every car/pedestrian encounter as a deal between both parties.  Pedestrians should only to cross in front of me (and move with a sense of urgency please) at a time when it's safe and I in turn agree not to mow you down.  I suppose that since I drive a Bimmer, that makes me a jerk.

Prius owners to me would rank highest on the annoyance scale, and not just due to their driving habits.

At lunch today a senior manager asked me if I was still thinking of buying a new car.  Told him I thought about the Prius tc in Habanero Orange.  That it's possible to buy performance parts for the Prius now.  When he gave me a look I said Portland Oregon needs a Republican who drives a Prius fast!  :)

110% agreement.

In my community on a street three blocks from my home, there are several new restaurants over the last three years. Foods kind of good, but that's not the point. Two weeks ago I picked up a new bule oval Edge. One of Tom's friends damn near got splattered on the hood before the first bug. They act like they don't have a clue what happens when a vehicle hits their silly a$$es. Worst than that, the friken city police department is constantly warnning drivers these restaurant seekers ALWAYS have the right to cross. The city even put up those fluorescent reflective pedestrian right of way signs at all the cross walks in the area. Those signs ony make the dumb, dumber. The funniest sign in the entire community is a fluorescent reflective sign at a pedistran walkway across some railroad tracks, "Trains Have the Right of Way".  Now, I reading there is going to be a new Sushi bar opening within a few months in the same area. That should draw some rich targets. On the other side, Obama will take credit for providing jobs installing signs.

Man, this is more fun than a parity thread. :wave2:
